COSTS
1.
There is no passage (admission) fee nor oblation (annual) fee
for children in the Order. There is, however, a fee charged
for any certificate, or diploma, which is earned if such
proof of grant is desired. In each case the Order retains
records of such grant if such proof by certificate is desired
at a later date.
2.
There is no passage (admission) fee nor oblation (annual) fee
for cadets or members in training in the Order.
3.
There is no passage (admission) fee nor oblation (annual) fee
for Ladies of Honor or Ladies of Grace. There is, however, a
fee charged for the diploma that shows such rank if such
proof of grant is desired. As noted above, the Order retains
records of such grant if such proof by certificate is desired
at a later date.

There is a passage (admission) fee and oblation (annual) fee
for Knights of Honor and Knights of Grace. The admission fee
is the cost of the purchase of a cape, which is required of
all Knights in the Order. There is also a fee charged, but only
to cover the cost, for the diploma that shows such rank. The
oblation (annual) fee for Knights of Honor and Knights of Grace
is $100.00. It is due each June 24, the feast day of St. John
the Baptist. Adjustments to these and the following costs will
be made for members who are not US citizens.

There is a fee charged for the Patent of Nobility to those members
who are offered, and who accept, this distinguished personal
honor from the Sovereign Order of St. John of Jerusalem. For
both the Knight of Justice and Lady of Justice the fee for the
Patent of Nobility is $500.00. The remainder of the cost required
of each Knight of Justice granted a Patent of Nobility is the
cost of purchase of the uniform of a Knight of Justice and the
cape of the Order, which cape is required of all Knights of
the Order. The oblation (annual) fee for Knights of Justice
is $100.00; for Ladies of Justice the cost is $100.00. (Current
Ladies of Justice will be grandfathered in at the old rate of
$50.00). Adjustments to these and the following costs will be
made for members who are not US citizens. The oblation is due
each June 24, the feast day of St. John the Baptist.
The Order will tithe from the proceeds from the annual oblation
totals to the Catholic Church, and to the operating funds for
Joseph Mar Thomas of the Malankara Catholic Church who has been
serving as our spiritual advisor. The remainder will support
the operating costs of the Order.
